What a great idea!
I came across this little gem on Pinterest, I don't know who came up with the idea or who made it, but great job!
This is definitely on my list of things to make for our home for next Winter/Christmas!
There were no instructions that I found ( that doesn't mean there aren't any, I just didn't see them!)
But.. it certainly appears easy enough!
This looks like some scraps of old barnwood just nailed or glued together ( I LOVE old reclaimed barnwood!)
If you can't access any old reclaimed barnwood you could use wood from pallets, or even get a few new boards at the local home improvement center and stain/weather them to look 'old'.
Then just paint on some snowflakes! You could do it free style, or get yourself some snowflake templates ..
Then just drill a hole in the center of each snowflake!
Get yourself some quality battery operated LED string lights and poke a bulb through each hole you drilled in the center of each snowflake. If you get the LED lights on copper wire it's very easy to gather the slack inbetween each bulb ( if there is any) so it's not hanging down.
I'd put a small hanger on the back for securing the battery pack, then you also put one for hanging the plaque. See.... pretty simple, and so rustic and cute!
Can't wait to make my own later this year!
